Darcy Haag Granello (she/her/hers) is a Professor of Counselor Education and Director of The Ohio State University Suicide Prevention Program. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Supervising Credential in Ohio and a Fellow of the American Counseling Association. Dr. Granello has published over 70 peer-reviewed articles, delivered more than 300 presentations at various levels, and secured over $3 million in grants. Her primary research focuses on suicide prevention, assessment, and intervention. She founded and directs the largest campus-based suicide prevention program in the United States, implementing a comprehensive plan at OSU. Her additional interests include counselor education, particularly cognitive development, supervision, cultural competence, and attitudes toward individuals with mental illness.
