G10 – Walk & Talk Therapy: Utilizing Movement-based Therapeutic Modalities for Bilateral Reprocessing
Engaging clients in spaces attending to lived experience and provide dynamic bilateral reprocessing can be as simple as going for a walk (Jordan, 2015). Walk & talks in naturalistic or urban settings are a unique way to meet your clients where they are and instill grounding and bilateral processing (Udler, 2023). As clinicians who utilize methods of movement-based therapy; we will describe the benefits, ethical concerns, and implementation of walk & talks (Abrams, 2025). By engaging attendees will gain knowledge, skills, and utilize experiential learning to use within an overall practice.
