Dr. Jeremy P. Oehrtman, also known as J.P. Oehrtman, is an Associate Professor at Bowling Green State University (BGSU). He serves in the School of Counseling, Higher Education, Leadership and Foundations, which is part of the College of Education and Human Development. As a school counselor educator, Dr. Oehrtman is a primary contact for the CACREP-accredited Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling Program. He previously served as an Assistant Professor and was awarded tenure and promoted to Associate Professor by the BGSU Board of Trustees. Prior to his transition to higher education, Dr. Oehrtman accumulated over 20 years of experience in K-12 education as a licensed professional school counselor and educator. He earned his Ph.D. in Counselor Education from The Ohio State University (OSU).
