Being a school counseling supervisor for practicum or internship students can bring anxiety, yet it’s vital for their professional development. Training on this can enhance one’s ability to provide quality supervision. This session will explore how site supervisors can employ culturally affirming supervision methods to enhance the multicultural awareness of supervisees. Additionally, the presenter will encourage attendees to reflect on their own practices when supervising individuals from diverse backgrounds and identities. Small group discussions will share strategies to improve supervision and support early-career counselors in their work with students from all backgrounds.
