G9 – Silent Pandemic: The Sex Trafficking of American Youth

The sex trafficking of American youth remains a hidden public health crisis, driven by systemic vulnerabilities and gaps in awareness, prevention, and response identified by the U.S. Department of Education. Using an ecological framework, this session examines risk factors—particularly for Black girls—and equips educators with practical knowledge. Participants will also learn about an anti-trafficking curriculum that can be implemented in schools to promote awareness and prevention among staff, students, and caregivers.
