Dr. Charity Anne Kurz is an Associate Professor of Counseling in the Department of Counselor Education & Family Studies at Liberty University, teaching in the university's online programs. Dr. Kurz holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Penn State University and is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor and Licensed School Counselor in Ohio, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, and a National Certified Counselor. In addition to teaching, Dr. Kurz maintains a private practice utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and narrative approaches, with expertise in human development, child and adolescent counseling, neurodiversity, disabilities, and school counseling. Dr. Kurz has also delivered training on specialized methods, including brick-based group counseling for youth.
