Shannon O'Mara is a counselor trainee at The University of Akron and a 988 Lifeline crisis worker. She supports individuals facing suicidal ideation, trauma, violence, and grief, and has presented at several counseling conferences. Shannon holds leadership roles in counseling organizations and has developed trauma-informed programs for survivors of violence. She also holds certifications in crisis intervention, advocacy, and peer support. Shannon is dedicated to early intervention, holistic care, and client-centered, trauma-responsive practices.
