B2 – The Art of Courage: Creative Strategies & Advocating for Youth Navigating Non-Death Losses
Youth often face profound losses that go unnamed and unsupported. From foster care placement to identity-based marginalization, non-death losses can disrupt attachment, safety, and identity development. This training explores creative, developmentally attuned interventions that help youth process complex, non-death losses. Grounded in grief theory, attachment science, trauma-informed care, and expressive arts approaches, participants will learn how creativity can serve as a tool for regulation, meaning-making, and ethical advocacy within systems that often perpetuate harm.
