HangHang Li brings extensive experience in K–12 counseling, teaching, and research, offering a developmental and practice-based perspective on supporting students’ emotional expression. She has worked directly with children and adolescents in classrooms, small groups, and individual counseling, using SEL and trauma-informed approaches to address distress and crying. Her background in Philosophy for Children and research on emotional expression enhances her understanding of how students process and communicate feelings. Drawing on experience in diverse educational and cultural settings, she provides practical, developmentally appropriate strategies for school counselors to respond effectively and compassionately when students cry.
