Dr. Ellise Nolan, LPC, NCC (she/they), is an Assistant Professor at Bowling Green State University and serves as the practicum and internship field site coordinator. Dr. Nolan’s teaching interests include Clinical Internship, Crisis Counseling, and Mental and Emotional Disorders. Their research focuses on how relational factors in counselor education influence holistic counselor development, counselor wellness, and the integration of allyship into counseling and teaching. Dr. Nolan is also dedicated to incorporating spirituality in counseling and served as President of the Ohio Association for Spiritual, Ethical and Religious Values in Counseling for 2021-2022. Based in Toledo, Ohio, Dr. Nolan enjoys Zen meditation, long-distance running, and seasonal activities, especially related to decor, food, and weather.
