Millennial Black men engage in counseling at significantly lower rates despite increasing mental health needs. This session draws on qualitative research exploring barriers to counseling, including Black masculine norms, racial distrust, and invisibility. Participants will examine how these barriers shape help-seeking behaviors and learn practical strategies to increase engagement, improve retention, and provide culturally responsive care for Black men in counseling.
