Gordon L. Cairns has served with the Dayton Police Department since 2001 and currently supervises the Traffic Services Unit, overseeing traffic enforcement initiatives, crash investigations, and roadway safety operations. He is an Institute of Police Technology and Management-certified crash reconstructionist with more than two decades of experience in traffic safety, enforcement, and specialized police operations. Cairns has led numerous high-visibility traffic safety initiatives focused on reducing crashes, impaired driving, distracted driving, and speeding-related violations throughout the Dayton area. His work emphasizes data-driven enforcement strategies, public safety partnerships, and improving roadway safety outcomes for the community.
