Ryan Gould has served as a Deputy District Attorney in Los Angeles County for almost 14 years, spending most of his career in felony trial prosecution. Throughout his career, he has handled a broad spectrum of cases, ranging from misdemeanors to complex homicides. Currently assigned to the DUI Training and Prosecution Section (DTAPS), Ryan prosecutes complex vehicular homicide cases and provides training and guidance to fellow Deputy District Attorneys and law enforcement officers on DUI and vehicular homicide matters. His expertise is reinforced by extensive specialized training, including Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) School, Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE), Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) School, CHP’s Street Racing School, and Intermediate Collision Investigation School. He remains at the forefront of developments in his field by actively participating in industry conferences, roundtables, and training seminars. In 2024, Ryan successfully prosecuted The People v. Rebecca Grossman, a high-profile case in which the defendant was convicted of murdering two young boys, Mark and Jacob Iskander. This case received significant media attention, both locally, nationally, and internationally. In recognition of his work, Ryan was honored with the 2024 ALADS Award for Exemplary Performance and the 2024 ADDA Special Operations Prosecutor of the Year Award.
