Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a nonprofit Career Technical Student Organization for young men and women in Family and Consumer Sciences education, Hospitality and Tourism, and Education and Training career fields in grades 7 through 12. The Ohio FCCLA charter was granted on January 14, 1946, with the first annual conference held on April 13, 1946 at The Ohio State University campus. Ohio has over 10,000 affiliated middle school and high school students and is the 6th largest delegation in the nation. FCCLA is the only Career Technical Student Organization with career in its name.
