Alexa Maines is a Meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Cleveland. In addition to issuing all official local watches, warnings, advisories, and forecasts, Alexa manages several local office programs, including student volunteers, drought, NOAA Weather Radio, and Weather Ready Nation. Alexa is also a member of the local outreach and hydrology teams. She is passionate about mentoring students and colleagues, and about building community resilience and preparedness by working closely with core partners and providing safety training and resources to the public.
