Nate Hodgson is a Flight Nurse Specialist at MetroHealth, Cuyahoga County's safety-net health system, which includes four hospitals, four emergency departments, and more than 20 health centers. He provides advanced emergency and critical care for patients of all ages during air and ground transport, including intensive monitoring, critical interventions, and care for high-risk patients across various medical specialties.

Nate’s specialized training enables him to deliver critical care to severely ill and injured patients, including ventilatory support and continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, as well as intra-aortic balloon pumps and other assist devices. He performs airway management and surgical procedures such as cricothyroidotomy, needle chest decompression, chest tube insertion, femoral line placement, cut-downs, and various intubation techniques.
