With a decade of experience in public safety leadership, Emily Torok serves as the Executive Director of the Ohio School Safety Center (OSSC), overseeing statewide school safety initiatives for public and private PreK-12 and higher education institutions. Dedicated to fostering secure learning environments, Emily aligns her team's goals with Ohio's mission to protect its educational communities. Emily's expertise lies at the intersection of legal acumen and school safety strategy, enabling me to bring a well-rounded and collaborative approach to advancing policies, compliance, and innovative safety solutions.
At the OSSC, Emily Torok leads a team of over 50 staff members and coordinate an annual conference attracting over 1,500 attendees, driving awareness and training on school safety practices. Emily's role also involves maintaining compliance with state statutes and serving as a liaison with federal agencies, ensuring Ohio remains a national leader in school safety innovation.
