Doug is the Mobile Training Officer for Zone 3, Region 4. A certified police officer for 30 years and a veteran of both the United States Navy and United States Army Reserve. He served Summit County Sheriff’s Office moving through the ranks and retiring as a Captain. Doug returned to Summit County serving as Assistant Sheriff /Chief Deputy. He deployed with the Ohio Incident Management Team to Super Storm Sandy in 2012. Doug has planned or assisted in planning for numerous local, state or national events: Bridgestone Invitational, Gay Games 9, Akron Marathon, Presidential and VIP Dignitary events, Republican National Convention, and numerous emergency management drills/tests in Summit County. He is a former SWAT team member and team Commander. He was adjunct faculty for seven years at Stark State College in the Criminal Justice degree program. Doug has a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management from Malone University and a Master of Science, from Tiffin University, in Criminal Justice/Justice Administration Doug is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy (261).
