Katie Gastaldo has been working as a school counselor for the past ten years, primarily with students in grades K-8. During this time she has relocated frequently to support her husband’s career and has worked in five different school districts across the state of Ohio and in Fairfax, Virginia. Due to these frequent transitions, she has gained valuable experience establishing comprehensive school counseling programs in new environments. The presenter is currently employed as a school counselor at Lakeview Local Schools in Northeast Ohio and as a part-time faculty member at Youngstown State University where she teaches a career counseling course to graduate students.
