Jenny Stotts is a licensed social worker and trauma specialist with academic credentials in social work and social sciences, with a focus on applied government ethics. She is a graduate of the Leading in Appalachia program at the Voinovich School for Public Affairs. Her professional experience includes positions in child protection as a caseworker and forensic interviewer, as well as significant involvement in crisis intervention and critical communications. Stotts has contributed to workforce development through Ohio’s University Partnership Program by educating future caseworkers. As a speaker and trainer, she has presented at a wide range of events, from local community gatherings to international conferences, including keynote addresses translated into more than a dozen languages. Her areas of expertise include child welfare, trauma and resilience, and change management. She has addressed delegations from 200 countries on volunteer engagement in humanitarian efforts at Rotary’s International Assembly. Her work on resilience and “listening with kindness” has received recognition in international publications. She also provides insights drawn from her personal experiences as both a foster care adoptee and an adoptive parent.
