Rebecca School's recent presentations include the 2025 Ohio School Counselor Conference, where topics addressed were effective interventions for chronic absenteeism among elementary students and strategies for career awareness and exploration. At the 2024 ASCA Conference, Rebecca served as lead presenter to 600 counselors, focusing on engaging families through organizing a Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Family Night. In 2019, at the ASCA Conference, Rebecca demonstrated the use of a Gallery Walk for career exploration in elementary and middle schools. This approach incorporates Self-Directed Searches to generate RIASEC (Holland) Codes and involves parents or guardians in identifying characteristics and strengths in younger students. The method uses color codes, pictograms, and photographs to help students explore career clusters. By leveraging Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs available in their districts, students are encouraged to envision how they might develop relevant skills and obtain certifications. Current CTE students interact with younger students to practice interviewing skills, and data collected from these activities informs individualized academic and career counseling.
