A 2026 Fulbright Program grant provided one Ohio school counselor the once-in-a-lifetime chance to spend four months in Finland visiting dozens of schools to explore how the education system there provides student support and fosters well-being, especially in the area of social-emotional development. Discover the ideas and practices that stood out as most applicable to our work as US school counselors and examine some key similarities and differences between Finnish and American approaches.
