G3 – Planting Hope, Growing Resilience: Small Groups to Help Middle Schoolers Manage Stress and Build Resiliance
This presentation explores strategies used in small groups to help students manage stress and build resilience. The techniques shared have been implemented in both stress-focused small groups and individual student support sessions. The session will begin with a discussion of the importance of building resilience during the middle school years, a critical transitional stage for students. Participants will then learn practical strategies used in our school’s small groups to support students’ emotional well-being. Finally, we will review outcomes observed at our school, including how pre- and post-assessment data have informed and improved our small group interventions.
