Meeting Ohio’s suicide prevention, violence prevention, and social inclusion requirements (HB 123) is more than a checklist - it’s an opportunity to build a culture of resilience. This session outlines a comprehensive "continuum approach" for grades 6–8 using three distinct evidence-based programs: Erika’s Lighthouse (6th), Be Present Ohio: The Online Experience (BPO:XP) (7th), and Signs of Suicide (SOS) (8th). Participants will learn how to unify these diverse curricula through the overarching themes and protective factors of Sources of Strength, creating a common language for students and staff that bridges the transition through middle school.
