E9 – A School Counselor-Led Small Group Intervention to Improve Emotional Regulation with Adolescents
Adolescents experience increasing stress that impacts emotional regulation, behavior, and academic success. This session presents a school counselor–led, tier two small group intervention designed to improve emotional regulation in junior high students. Grounded in CBT, SEL, and mindfulness, findings from a quasi-experimental evaluation demonstrated statistically significant improvement. Participants will gain practical strategies to implement and evaluate similar groups within their school counseling programs.
