B2 – The Blueprint for Connection: Relational-Cultural Theory as Systemic Prevention

Go beyond basic SEL with "Third R Seminar" (TRS), a Tier 1 model translating Relational-Cultural Theory (RCT) into a systemic prevention ecosystem. This session explores lessons that teach metacognitive and relational competencies to intermediate students: using vulnerability, introspection, boundaries, and accountability to enhance relationships; restorative mediation to cultivate empathy; and DBT/ACT-informed concepts to build ambiguity tolerance. See how these frameworks are reinforced by a school-wide House System and Tier 2 Interest Clubs to engineer a research-informed culture of belonging.
