Supervision within the field of school counseling can often be intimidating and a mystery for many school counselors. Though there are models and supervision frameworks that have been proposed and developed, current school counselors may be unaware of these models and how to implement them. Our session is designed to demystify school counseling supervision by reviewing the 2024 Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) hour requirements; best practices in school counseling supervision; two supervision models; and providing testimonials from the field of recently supervised master’s level students.
