Data highlights the mental health crisis in schools, but current interventions are often piecemeal in nature, containing aspects of suicide prevention without a cohesive and comprehensive approach that best serves the needs of students. This presentation provides a step-by-step practical strategy for developing and implementing a comprehensive model for school-based suicide prevention. The model is grounded in research and best practices, including research and practice of the presenters. Participants will learn how to move forward with creating and implementing the model in their schools.
