Sense of belonging,' a topic usually limited to student engagement, will be discussed in relation to teachers and school staff. At a time when teacher burn-out and staff turnover is already at high levels, toxic culture can erode a school climate quickly. During this session, school counselors will learn ways to teach staff how to avoid toxic culture. Research on top causes of workplace toxic culture will be shared, as well as effective and practical tips on what to do when it pops up. Participants will walk away with practical tips that can be shared with their own staff.
