Students experiencing homelessness in high school are protected under the McKinney Vento Act of 1987. This legislation does not extend to post secondary institutions and leaves this population of students at risk for homelessness into adulthood. By local school district liaisons partnering with post secondary institutions we can build a bridge to success for students experiencing homelessness.
