D9 – Youth Gambling: Risks, Consequences, and Prevention Strategies
This presentation equips school counselors with the knowledge and tools to address gambling among K–12 students. It covers the warning signs, risk factors, and consequences of youth gambling—both online and offline. Counselors will learn how to identify at-risk students, initiate supportive conversations, and implement prevention strategies within the school setting. Emphasis is placed on early intervention, family involvement, and connecting students with appropriate resources.
