Elementary school counselors will learn how to create a career exploration simulation. The simulation will feature hands-on activities that allow students to experience a specific career field. These labs will connect to a greater narrative: students are members of a community that has experienced a flood and must perform jobs (entrepreneurs, reporters, engineers, first responders, disaster response team members, or scientists) to support recovery efforts. The presentation will provide a multistep process to support school counselors in designing their own version of these engaging activities.
