Opportunities for students to knit, garden, and engage in mindfulness activities are less conventional, yet meaningful interventions to promote student well-being. While developing these new skills and working collaboratively, students also strengthen social-emotional skills including emotional regulation, empowerment, perseverance, and stress management. In this session, participants will explore examples of programs cultivated by school counselors from multiple Ohio schools, with students of various abilities across multiple grade bands. Ideas for funding sources will also be shared.
