Abbey Wollschleger, MSW, LISW-S serves as the 988 Quality Assurance Manager for the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health, where she leads statewide quality strategy and systems advancement for Ohio’s 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline network. With four years in this role, Abbey oversees the design, implementation, and sustainability of Ohio’s comprehensive quality improvement framework, improving performance and strengthening crisis response statewide.
Abbey brings over 14 years of community mental health experience, including service as a clinical director, program director, and manager, in addition to providing direct clinical care to youth, adults, and families. Her background in crisis intervention, psychotherapy, and case management informs her systems-level leadership and commitment to practical, sustainable solutions.
She is passionate about advancing compassionate, accessible behavioral health services and is proud to help ensure that Ohioans experiencing a crisis can access immediate, life-saving support through 988.
Abbey is licensed by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Work, and Marriage and Family Therapy Board as an Independent Social Worker with Supervisory designation (LISW-S). She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Baldwin Wallace University and her Master of Social Work and Certificate in Public and Nonprofit Leadership from The Ohio State University.
