Brian Townsend is a retired Supervisory Special Agent and former Resident Agent in Charge with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). He has 28 years of law enforcement experience, including five years as a police officer in Joplin, Missouri, and 23 years with the DEA, during which he held progressively responsible assignments.

During his tenure with the DEA, Townsend held three formal leadership positions, overseeing personnel, programs, and resources. He was stationed in Corpus Christi, Texas; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Springfield, Missouri, where he focused on combating drug trafficking and reducing drug-related crime.

In addition to enforcement operations, Townsend was assigned to the DEA Training Academy in Quantico, Virginia, where he managed the agency’s specialized training unit and established the leadership and development training unit. This unit continues to serve as the primary resource for leadership development for the DEA’s workforce of over 10,000 personnel.

Currently, Townsend serves as the Law Enforcement Training Coordinator for the Mid-States Organized Crime Information Center (MOCIC), a Regional Information Sharing System (RISS) Center that supports law enforcement agencies in nine states (Kansas, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin). He is also the founder and principal of Eagle 6 Training, which provides speaking, training, and consulting services to organizations worldwide.
