Robert Almonte is a former U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Texas, recognized for his extensive law enforcement experience, management of high-profile cases, and expertise in Mexican cartels. He served as U.S. Marshal from June 2010 to 2016, overseeing a district that includes San Antonio, Austin, Waco, and El Paso. Before his federal role, Almonte spent 25 years with the El Paso Police Department, retiring as Deputy Chief with a focus on narcotics investigations. He led initiatives such as the Hotel/Motel Narcotics Interdiction Unit and the West Texas HIDTA Stash House Task Force.
