Courtney Howell, originally from Norfolk, Virginia, relocated to Richmond in 1991 and attended St. Gertrude’s High School. She is the mother of two adult children and has one grandchild. She enjoys spending time at the Chesapeake Bay and is an active member of Hope Point Church in Chesterfield, Virginia. Howell is currently enrolled in the Master’s program for Business Law at Liberty University.

Immediately after graduating from high school, Howell began her career as a teller at Bank of America. She developed a strong interest in banking and has accumulated over twenty years of experience in the financial industry. Before joining the Foundation, Howell spent thirteen years at Wachovia and Wells Fargo. In her most recent role, she served as a compliance officer, overseeing up to twenty-two branches. She possesses extensive expertise in developing and implementing policies and procedures, including regulatory compliance and customer service standards. Throughout her career, Howell has held a Virginia Life and Annuities License and Series 6 and 63 certifications.
