Chris Bury is Partner, Senior Vice President, and Broker at Foundry Commercial’s Mission Property Group, overseeing west coast operations. He leads acquisition and disposition efforts for churches, schools, lenders, denominations, and other not-for-profit organizations. Chris also provides consulting services, including property due diligence, church real estate consolidation and mergers, price evaluation, and financial audits.
Chris joined Foundry Commercial, formerly CNL Commercial Real Estate, from Church Development Fund (CDF), a lending organization with over $800 million in assets. He established CDF’s real estate department and developed asset management policies and procedures. Alongside REO portfolio management, Chris provided real estate consulting services to churches and schools for property acquisition and disposition.
During his eight years at CDF, Chris implemented a national management and marketing program, including a sell-versus-hold strategy to maximize rental income. He managed the liquidation of a 30-property REO portfolio, reducing it to an all-time low and ensuring departmental profitability.
