Machen Champion, LPCC‑S, RPT‑S™, is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor with more than ten years of experience in early childhood mental health. As the founder of Wired to Bloom Therapy & Consulting, LLC, she leads a team that provides neuroscience-informed Play Therapy for children ages 2 to 12. Machen is certified in Synergetic Play Therapy, trained in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (Phase 1), is a Foundational Theraplay® Practitioner, and is EMDR-trained.
Machen is a dynamic speaker and educator who has presented at local, regional, and national conferences on child and adolescent counseling, counselor education, play therapy, and creative supervision. She has facilitated workshops for graduate students, mental health professionals, and interdisciplinary teams, focusing on clinical competency, cultural humility, and trauma-informed, playful care. Before becoming a clinical counselor, Machen taught first grade. Drawing on her classroom experience, she now consults with educators to bridge gaps among mental health, behavior, and learning.
