Dr. Paul F. Granello is an associate professor of Counselor Education in the Department of Educational Studies and a Fellow of the American Counseling Association. He is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Supervising Credential in Ohio. In private practice, he specializes in treating clients with depression, anxiety, and suicide risk. His research focuses on two areas: suicide and wellness.
Dr. Granello partnered with the Ohio Department of Mental Health to establish the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation and has secured over $2.2 million in federal grants for suicide prevention in Ohio. He has published three books on suicide and has delivered more than 200 presentations and trainings on suicide prevention, assessment, and intervention.
