
Amanda Rovnak, PhD

Dr. Amanda Rovnak joined Walden University in 2007 as Contributing Faculty and later became Core Faculty. She is licensed as a social worker, counselor, and chemical dependency counselor, with most of her clinical work focused on addiction treatment. Since 2000, Dr. Rovnak has worked with clients ranging from youth to older adults in diverse mental health and addiction settings, including those living with HIV. She has taught in various educational environments and coordinated clinical training for counseling students at a traditional university. Dr. Rovnak has also contributed to the counseling field through her involvement with state organizations, as well as through presentations and publications.
