Dr. Brandy Gilea is an Ohio-Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory Endorsement. She holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Kent State University, as well as an M.S.Ed. in Counseling and a B.A. in Psychology from Youngstown State University. Dr. Gilea serves as a full-time faculty member in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program.

Dr. Gilea brings extensive clinical, supervisory, leadership, and teaching experience in behavioral health, with expertise in treating mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. She has delivered direct care, supervision, and management across diverse settings, including telehealth, community-based centers, psychiatric hospitals, college counseling centers, group homes, jails, and homeless shelters. Dr. Gilea has directed programs in crisis intervention, community psychiatric support, pharmacological management, behavioral health counseling, and forensic services in both in-person and virtual environments. Her leadership roles include Director of Clinical and Quality at an international telehealth company, Clinical Director at a large non-profit behavioral health organization, department director, and clinical supervisor. She has significant experience working with psychosis, psychological trauma, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, suicidal and self-injurious behaviors, and substance use.
