Amanda Cole (she/her/hers) is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the School of Counseling at the University of Akron and a doctoral candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Kent State University. She is a licensed professional clinical counselor and supervisor, with expertise in affirming care for LGBTGEQIAP+ youth and psychodrama group work. Her clinical experience includes community agencies, private practice, university counseling centers, and an animal-assisted therapy farm. She is a past president of the Eastern Ohio Counseling Association and the Ohio Association for Specialists in Group Work, and currently serves on the ACA Professional Standards Committee and as a trustee on the SAIGE Executive Board.
