Counseling assessment frameworks often assume monogamous relationship structures, limiting clinical understanding when working with consensual non-monogamy (CNM). This session introduces a CNM-informed assessment approach that captures relationship agreements, power dynamics, and attachment across partners. Participants will examine common assessment gaps and learn how to differentiate relational distress from structural diversity. Attendees will leave with a practical checklist to improve intake, case conceptualization, and ongoing assessment.
