Ethical practice with LGBTQIA+ clients often unfolds in moment-to-moment clinical interactions where uncertainty, value activation, and competing considerations are present. This session builds on the use of Motivational Interviewing as an ethical communication framework, emphasizing how ethics are enacted through language. Participants will explore common clinician stuck points and learn how to use MI-consistent language to navigate value tensions, support client autonomy, and respond to complex situations with humility, intentionality, and clinical integrity.
