B7 – Relational Safety and Suicide Prevention: A Trauma-Informed Path
This session equips behavioral health professionals with a trauma-informed framework for suicide prevention. Participants will explore how trauma history, systemic oppression, and nervous system dysregulation intersect with suicidal ideation and behavior. The session moves beyond traditional risk assessment to emphasize relational safety, cultural humility, collaborative safety planning, and clinician regulation. Attendees will leave with practical tools to assess risk, respond ethically, and reduce harm while maintaining therapeutic alliance.
