Dr. Amanda Rovnak began her work with Walden in 2007 as a Contributing Faculty, before transitioning to Core Faculty. She is licensed as a social worker, counselor, and chemical dependency counselor. Most of her clinical work is in addictions treatment. Dr. Rovnak's clinical experience began in 2000 with a focus in primary addictions treatment. Her clinical experience includes work with youth through elderly clients, various mental health and addictions settings, and with HIV positive clients. Dr. Rovnak has experience teaching in various settings and has coordinated clinical training for counseling students at a brick and mortar University. Dr. Rovnak has contributed to the field of counseling through work with state organizations, presentations, and publications.
