I6 – The Mindful Student: Building Balance Amid College Chaos

Young adults represent the foundation of the forthcoming generation; however, college life is often marked by identity exploration, academic pressure, and mental health challenges (Van Doeslaar et al., 2017; Liu et al., 2019). Anxiety and depression affect about 63% of individuals aged 18–30 (Osario & Hyde, 2021). Research shows mindfulness-based interventions effectively enhance emotional and psychological well-being in college students (Tasneem & Panwar, 2020; Tang et al., 2019). This presentation examines key risk factors and the role of mindfulness in fostering student wellness.
