Emerging adulthood is a critical period of development often marked by the early onset of mental health concerns. Given that suicide remains a leading cause of mortality for this population, counselors must possess knowledge of this population’s unique experiences. This presentation will provide an overview of the prevalence rates and specific stressors impacting the well-being of emerging adults and college students. Additionally, this presentation will equip counselors with an understanding of campus-community resources to promote well-being and mitigate barriers to accessing care.
