Rituals provide a meaningful way to process grief from death and non-death losses. This presentation explores the power of creative, culturally responsive grief rituals as tools for healing and transformation. Participants will be introduced to a variety of individual and communal grief rituals drawn from diverse cultural traditions, as well as an arts-based exploration of a responsive ritual rooted in Puerto Rican traditions. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of how to integrate creative, culturally grounded grief rituals into their counseling practices.
